Be The Hope – 2018 Missions Emphasis

Our theme song this year says it well, and we sing it well:

Build your kingdom here
Let the darkness fear
Show your mighty hand
Heal our streets and land
Set your church on fire
Win this nation back
Change the atmosphere
Build your kingdom here we pray

(Build Your Kingdom Here, Rend Collective)

Isaiah said simply, “In his name the nations will put their hope.” (Matthew 12:21)

As our bodies need air, our spirits need hope. In boardrooms, ball games and break rooms, people hunger for it. Look around you. You see hope-starved people in schools, stores and service stations. Everyone needs hope. So do you and I.

We know where to find it! We have it! “In his name.”

Our mission is to share our faith, show our love and give the nations – as well as people around us – the gift of hope found in his name.

We celebrate this year’s Missions Emphasis Sundays during the first two Sundays in November, November 4 and 11.

Set your phone to remind you to pray every day at 12:21 (see the scripture above) for God to use us all to shine his hope in a dark world.

We can be the hope.

The world is desperate for it, and we know the Way.
