Imagine you had a chest full of treasure, or a wallet full of one hundred dollar bills, or a truck full of Krispy Kreme Donuts.  How would you feel?  What would you do?  The letter of 1 Peter is written to a group of persecuted Christians living in Northern Turkey in the second half of the 1st Century.  The Apostle Peter writes to tell them that they are rich beyond measure.  They have been chosen as heirs to the Kingdom of God.  Their bank accounts are full!  He encourages them to live out their lives as the “Chosen Ones” of God.  Like those Christians from long ago we have all been chosen.  The question is, “what will we do with our riches?”
