Cameron joined the Lake Cities staff in January of 2025 as the Student Minister. He is engaged to be married to his wonderful fiancé Hallie. They met while attending Harding University, where he graduated in 2022 with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Cameron has always had a heart for serving students, and originally planned to do that through medicine; however, the Lord had other plans and called Cameron into ministry to be with the students that he has always been passionate about (it’s a fun story). That passion is derived from his love for the Lord and his desire to bring others to know and love the God of all creation. He also is a huge sports fan, with soccer being his favorite and FC Barcelona being his team. And as a native Texan, he was raised to love the Dallas Cowboys, barbecue brisket, and Dr. Pepper.
Cameron’s goal for the Lake Cities Student Ministry is to provide a welcoming environment for all students, in which they feel seen, known, and loved, so that they can open up their hearts more easily to the Truth of Jesus Christ. Because Cameron’s schooling was in biology, he is able to use the study of God’s creation to give a different perspective to faith, mainly through seeing God’s fingerprints all throughout this world. One of Cameron’s favorite parts of Scripture is found in the first sentence of Genesis 1:26, “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” Cameron takes great pride in being an image-bearer and helping others to see God’s love for them as bearers of His image.
