Everything hinges on this: do you or do you not believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God?
Jesus spent his years of ministry on Earth demonstrating his kingship, his divinity, his compassion. He was like nothing that came before him and even his own disciples had a hard time understanding what was happening. They wavered between belief, incredulity and confusion. Finally, after countless miracles and teachings, Jesus asked his disciples,
Who do you say I am?
Peter answered, “You are the Christ.” – Mark 8:29
Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ? That he came to save the world through his personal sacrifice? That he cleanses our shame and gives us the honor of become children of the most high God?
If so, then Christ says the same thing to you that he said to his disciples, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15
