Christmas 2016 Service Projects

Angel Tree Service Project

We have adopted a couple of families from the Roanoke Food Pantry’s Adopt a Family Program.  On the tree in the foyer there are ornaments with items that are on these families wish list.  If you are able, please take one or more ornaments and bring back the items listed on or before Wednesday, December 2, when we will sort and wrap the presents.  We will deliver the gifts to the Roanoke Food Pantry to be delivered to the families.  Be sure to attach the ornament to the items you bring back so they will get to the correct person.

Children’s Hunger Fund Service Project

This year we are again participating in the Children’s Hunger Fund Food Pak boxes.  There is a Children’s Hunger Fund board in the foyer with all the food items we need.  Please stop by the board and take as many tags as you would like.  Bring the items back Sunday, December 6, when we will “Pack the Pulpit”.  Wednesday, December 9, we will be sorting & filling the boxes as a service project.  This is a great opportunity to serve suffering families and introduce them to the life-transforming truth of the gospel.  Trained church leaders assigned by Children’s Hunter Fund will hand-deliver the Food Paks to the homes.
